A Gigabit SFP media converter from TP-Link's Omada line — it acts as a bridge between copper (RJ45, Ethernet) and optical (SFP, fibre) connections. It converts the signal arriving over a long-distance fibre-optic line to a standard Gigabit Ethernet port (and vice versa), so fibre infrastructure can be connected to ordinary switches or computers. An affordable, compact solution for projects that exceed copper cable's distance limit (100 metres) inside a building but don't need a full fibre switch. As part of the Omada ecosystem, it works seamlessly with TP-Link's other network equipment.
