A shielded (FTP) Cat6 patch cord, 2 m long, with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. The Cat6 standard comfortably carries 1 Gbit/s, allows up to 10 Gbit/s over short distances and, with a 250 MHz frequency band, has more headroom than Cat5e. The cable has an overall foil shield (FTP) — it protects against external electromagnetic interference (power cables, fluorescent lamps, industrial equipment) and keeps the signal clean in "noisy" environments such as server rooms and crowded cable trays. The conductors are CCA (aluminium core, copper-clad) — this keeps the cable light and affordable, and is perfectly adequate for patch connections of a few metres. This length comfortably reaches from a desktop computer, printer, IP phone or camera to the wall socket, and the yellow outer jacket helps tell these cables apart visually from other systems (telephony, security, etc.).
