A unshielded (UTP) Cat5e patch cord, 1 m long, with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. The Cat5e standard supports speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s and a 100 MHz frequency band — enough performance for home and small-office networks and everyday internet connections. The cable is of unshielded (UTP) construction — it performs reliably in ordinary home and office environments without extra protection, and is more flexible and easier to lay. The conductors are solid copper — signal loss is minimal, conductivity is higher than CCA, and it is recommended for professional installations that run around the clock. Its short length is ideal for connecting devices placed close together inside a server cabinet, such as patch panel–switch or switch–switch, and the grey outer jacket helps tell these cables apart visually from other systems (telephony, security, etc.).
